The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Research Assistant, Research Department, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV

ROLE of the POSITION

The Research Assistant works directly under the Senior Research Specialist within the Office of Research at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV on several grant-funded research projects and other research projects with faculty and staff.

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

● Data collection, cleaning, and analysis

● Assisting in completing and management of Institutional Review Board protocols

● Survey tool design

● Writing reports and manuscripts

● Database management including data cleaning, data dictionary, and data dashboard creation/maintenance

Other duties depending upon research priorities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in an applicable field of training (e.g., Public Health, Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology or similar fields of Social Sciences) Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's Degree from an accredited university in an applicable field of training (e.g., Public Health, Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology or similar fields of Social Sciences.

1-3 years of experience in a social science research setting.

SALARY RANGE

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
